Kawon Kim, an organizational psychologist, studies how psychological processes guide individuals' workplace relationships and career outcomes. Her published and ongoing research has examined demographic minorities' competitive dynamics and belonging frustration in workgroups, job interviewees' strivings for self-verification, and entrepreneurs' emotional drivers of venture initiation.

Having studied psychology and organizational behavior, she focuses on fundamental psychological processes that impact individual and collective outcomes in the workplace. She uses various research methods, including experiments, field surveys, interviews, and text analysis, to illuminate these processes.

Kawon leads her team at the Seoul National University Organizational Psychology Lab (SNU OP Lab), aiming to facilitate individual growth and organizational success by collectively exploring the human mind in the workplace.
